About us:
Caldicott is an independent day and boarding preparatory school for boys aged 7 to 13 located in Buckinghamshire. The school is highly regarded and is known for its outstanding educational quality. It was founded in 1904 by James Heald Jenkins in Hitchin, Hertfordshire, and was initially named after his new bride, Miss Theodora Caldicott Ingram. Initially starting with just eight boys, the school has significantly grown and evolved over the years.
Currently, Caldicott is situated in Farnham Royal, Slough, and led by Headmaster Jeremy Banks. The school accommodates 250 pupils, providing a focused and nurturing environment for its students. While the school does not adhere to a specific religious doctrine, it maintains a strong set of values and ethics in its educational approach.
Caldicott is not just a day school but also offers boarding facilities. The term fees are £7,281 for day students and £12,170 for boarders, reflecting the comprehensive nature of the education and facilities provided. The school is located in a picturesque setting next to 220 hectares of ancient forest at Burnham Beeches woodland reserve, less than 10 minutes from the high street of Farnham Royal and 30 minutes from west London.
