Alleyn’s School
About us:
Alleyn's School is an esteemed independent co-educational day school located in Dulwich, London, catering to students aged 4-18. It's part of a rich historical tradition, originally being a segment of Edward Alleyn's College of God's Gift charitable foundation, which also included James Allen's Girls' School and Dulwich College.
The school, with a student population of just over 1,000 in the senior school from ages 11-18, is nestled in the leafy, affluent suburb of Dulwich in South East London, offering a nurturing yet stimulating environment for its students. The school is known for its high academic standards and is a mainstream independent school with a linked junior school, not offering boarding but deeply integrated with the local community of Southwark.
Under the leadership of Head Jane Lunnon, who took the role in January 2021, Alleyn's School is dedicated to maintaining its reputation for excellence. The school boasts a balanced gender ratio with 523 boys and 562 girls, reflecting its co-educational ethos. It also has a strong track record of academic success, with 13% of students going on to Oxbridge. The term fees stand at £7,620, and the school follows a comprehensive admissions process that includes the ISEB Pre-Test, the school’s own exam, and an interview.
As a registered charity and a Church of England school, Alleyn's School is committed to providing a well-rounded education that not only focuses on academic excellence but also fosters moral and personal growth in its students.
