Chelsea Hall School

About us:

Chelsea Hall School, located in Earlsfield, London, is an independent day school catering to children aged 4 to 11 years with mild to moderate, and sometimes multiple, learning needs. The school is dedicated to meeting each pupil’s unique developmental, behavioral, and emotional needs while developing their cognitive abilities through a strong foundation of skills.

The school employs a holistic approach that embeds therapy at the heart of the school day. This method is aimed at helping pupils rebuild trust and self-confidence, which is crucial for their overall development and success in learning. Chelsea Hall School operates small classes, typically consisting of 6 pupils, and maintains a high staff-to-pupil ratio. This structure ensures that pupils feel safe and cared for in a homely and welcoming environment.

For admissions, Chelsea Hall School maintains a maximum of 48 students. The admission process includes a two-day trial at no cost, during which the teaching and therapy team assesses how the child copes in their environment and whether the child’s needs can be adequately met within the existing provision. It is not a mandatory condition for a child to hold an Education Health and Care Plan (EHCP) for admission.

The school's curriculum and approach are tailored to address various special educational needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Moderate Learning Difficulty, and Speech, Language, and Communication needs. The school does not offer boarding facilities, operating strictly as a day school.

The fees for the academic year 2022/23 are £16,650 per term (£49,950 per annum). Enrolment is open year-round, allowing the school to consider students at any point in the year, with a preference for students starting at the beginning of a half or full term.
