Description
About us:
Aldro School is a coeducational day and boarding school for children aged 7 to 13, located in the picturesque village of Shackleford, near London. The school, founded in 1898, encompasses 8 hectares and aims to prepare students for future studies and the responsibilities of adulthood.
Originally a private prep school for boys, Aldro transitioned to a coeducational setup from September 2021, starting with Years 3, 4 & 5. The school offers a broad and holistic education with high academic standards, maintaining a strong Christian ethos and providing a wide range of sports and arts activities in its stunning rural location in Surrey.
The school's curriculum is designed to be stimulating and broad, complemented by a full and family-friendly boarding and co-curricular programme. This combination is aimed at enhancing the school's vision and providing a comprehensive learning experience for its students. The school, under the leadership of Chris Carlier, houses 202 day and boarding students, including 163 boys and 39 girls, and provides open mornings and visits for interested parents and pupils.
